Classroom Lockdown Kits from More Prepared provide the essential supplies teachers and students need to remain secure during a lockdown or shelter-in-place event. Designed for K–12 classrooms, daycare centers, early childhood education settings, and other instructional spaces, these kits support privacy, sanitation, communication, and sustained sheltering during real-world incidents.

Choosing Classroom Lockdown Kits


Classroom lockdown kits give teachers immediate access to sanitation, privacy,
lighting, communication, and basic safety supplies when students must remain inside a secured classroom. Many schools place one kit in every regularly
occupied instructional space so teachers do not need to leave the room to
obtain essential supplies.

Standard and Premium Configurations


The Standard Classroom Lockdown Kit focuses on sanitation, privacy, lighting, signaling, and basic comfort. Its 5-gallon bucket, toilet seat, waste supplies, privacy tarp, flashlight, whistle, blanket, and HELP/OK placard support classrooms when restrooms and other areas are inaccessible.

The Premium Classroom Lockdown Kit includes the same core supplies plus long-shelf-life emergency food and drinking water. The Premium kit adds emergency food and water for classrooms that want supplies on hand if a lockdown runs longer than expected.

Does every lockdown kit include food and water?


No. The Standard kit focuses on sanitation, privacy, lighting, communication, and basic safety supplies. The Premium kit adds emergency food and drinking
water for longer than expected events.

Why does the kit include a bucket and toilet supplies?


Students and staff may be unable to access restrooms during a lockdown. The bucket, toilet seat, waste bags, deodorizer, privacy tarp, and hygiene supplies provide an emergency sanitation option inside the classroom.

How many lockdown kits does a school need?


Schools commonly place one kit in each occupied classroom or instructional
space. Additional kits may be appropriate for libraries, offices, multipurpose rooms, portable classrooms, and other areas where people may need to remain secured.

How often should lockdown kits be inspected?


Inspect kits at least annually and after any use. Confirm that the container is
accessible, packaging is intact, batteries remain functional, and dated food,
water, first aid, or medical components have not expired.

Can lockdown kits be customized?


Yes. Available options include upgraded first aid or bleeding-control supplies,
additional privacy and sanitation materials, district-specific contents,
custom labeling, and standardized packaging for multi-school deployments.
