Choosing a 72-Hour Emergency Ration Kit
Select a kit based on the maximum number of employees, students, visitors, contractors, or other occupants your emergency plan must support. Available sizes range from 50 to 1,000 people.
Each person allocation contains:
- One 2,400-calorie emergency food bar for the full 72-hour period
- Six 4.2 oz emergency drinking water pouches
- Two water pouches allocated per person per day
Choose the Appropriate Storage Format
Case-packed ration kits keep full manufacturer cases intact whenever quantities allow. They are best suited to supply rooms, warehouses, preparedness closets, and other centralized storage locations.
Rolling-bin ration kits organize the same total food-and-water allocation in one or more mobile bins. They are useful when supplies may need to move between buildings, floors, shelters, assembly areas, or distribution points.
For multi-bin configurations, all bins together form one complete kit. Individual bins are not separate ration kits and may not contain proportional amounts of both food and water.
Important Water-Planning Note
The included pouches provide a compact emergency drinking-water ration. They are not equivalent to the larger quantities commonly recommended for drinking, sanitation, food preparation, medical needs, or hot environments.
