What Is GoodBuy?

GoodBuy Purchasing Cooperative has served public agencies since 1992. All GoodBuy contracts are competitively solicited, meeting state and federal competitive bidding requirements — including EDGAR compliance for agencies spending federal funds. Members can place purchases directly with awarded vendors without going out to bid.

Who Is Eligible?

GoodBuy membership is open to:

  • K–12 independent school districts and charter schools
  • Colleges and universities
  • Cities, counties, and special districts
  • Nonprofit organizations
  • Day care centers
  • Other public agencies eligible under interlocal agreements

GoodBuy is administered in Texas and has strong participation among Texas public agencies, but agencies in other states may be eligible through interlocal agreements. Contact us to confirm eligibility for your organization.

How to Purchase Through GoodBuy

  1. Confirm your eligibility — Verify your agency is a GoodBuy member or can participate through an interlocal agreement. Not sure? Contact us and we'll help.
  2. Request a quote — Submit your request referencing the GoodBuy contract. Include quantities, delivery location(s), and any specific requirements.
  3. Receive documentation — We provide pricing, product specs, and contract documentation for your procurement file.
  4. Issue a purchase order — Your agency issues a PO referencing the GoodBuy contract number. No separate solicitation required where your procurement policy permits.
  5. Delivery and compliance docs — We fulfill your order and provide all documentation needed for audit and compliance purposes.
