Barracuda devices are designed to secure doors in an emergency situation.  In some jurisdictions, door blocking devices may be regulated under safety and building codes. 

The Barracuda™ Intruder Defense Door Security System is a high-strength, rapid-response lockdown solution designed to help protect occupants during emergency situations. Developed in collaboration with The Bilco® Company and engineered by a military veteran, SWAT team member, and active-shooter training instructor, this system is built for real-world security readiness where every second counts.

Designed for fast and reliable deployment, the Barracuda™ can be put into action in seconds. The user simply places the device on the floor, slides the heavy-duty steel plates beneath an inward-swinging door, and engages the exterior door jamb using the integrated handles. A secure locking pin is then inserted to firmly lock the system in place, reinforcing the entry point against forced intrusion and enhancing overall door security.

Unlike permanent hardware installations, the Barracuda™ is a portable, free-standing system that requires no drilling, installation, or modification to existing doors. This makes it ideal for schools, offices, commercial buildings, and facilities requiring flexible emergency preparedness solutions. It can be quickly moved and deployed at multiple access points as needed.

Constructed from heavy-duty steel with a durable powder-coated finish, the system is built for long-term durability while remaining lightweight enough for rapid positioning. It is designed for use on standard 36” commercial inward-swinging doors and includes a convenient wall-mount storage rack for easy access and organization.
