Details
The Beluga™ BG-1 Oversized Flood Control Bag is a heavy-duty, fillable barrier designed for large-scale flood protection, water diversion, erosion control and infrastructure reinforcement. Each bag ships flat for efficient transportation and storage, then expands on site to create a substantial sand- or aggregate-filled barrier.
When filled, the BG-1 measures approximately 3 feet long by 3 feet deep by 40 inches high. One bag replaces approximately 150 traditional sandbags, helping reduce the handling time and labor required to build a comparable flood barrier.
The BG-1 can be positioned individually to protect targeted areas or arranged with additional bags to create longer protection lines. Multiple bags may also be incorporated into engineered stacked-wall configurations when greater protection heights are required.
Beluga bags can be filled with sand, gravel or another suitable fill material available near the deployment site. The polypropylene construction includes a coated water-resistant side and permeable surfaces that allow slow drainage.
Key Features:
• Oversized alternative to traditional sandbags
• Measures approximately 3' × 3' × 40" when filled
• Provides up to approximately 40" of protection height
• Replaces approximately 150 standard sandbags
• Holds approximately 30 cubic feet of fill
• 4,500 lb safe working load per bag
• Ships flat for efficient storage and transportation
• Fill with sand, gravel or other suitable aggregate
• Can be arranged to create longer flood barriers
• Suitable for targeted placement and engineered stacked walls
• Ground-conforming design works on multiple surfaces
• Heavy-duty polypropylene construction
• Four integrated lifting straps
The Beluga BG-1 requires suitable fill material, filling equipment and a planned deployment method. Engineering review may be required for stacked walls, high-flow conditions and critical installations.
