Details
Guppy™ MAX is a heavy-duty, water-filled flood barrier designed for large-scale perimeter protection, water diversion and temporary containment applications.
Its three-chamber construction forms a broad trapezoidal profile when filled, providing greater stability than a conventional single-tube barrier. Each straight Guppy MAX unit measures 30 feet long and approximately 40 inches high, with a recommended flood-protection height of approximately 38 inches.
A straight barrier holds approximately 2,115 gallons of water and weighs more than 17,000 pounds when filled. This substantial water ballast helps secure the barrier against the deployment surface without requiring permanent structural modifications.
Multiple straight units can be connected using their integrated seaming flaps, grommets and PVC ties to create longer barrier runs. A separate Guppy MAX 90-degree Corner Unit allows the system to turn around buildings, infrastructure and other obstacles.
Guppy MAX fills through a standard 2½-inch U.S. fire-hose connection. A reliable high-volume water source—such as a hydrant, water truck, high-capacity pump or commercial supply—is required.
After use, the system can be carefully drained, cleaned, completely dried, folded and stored for future deployment.
