Guppy flood tubes are not included.

The connector size must match the diameter of both Guppy tubes being joined.

Installation:

1. Inspect the deployment area and remove sharp objects and large debris.
2. Position and completely unroll both Guppy tubes along the planned barrier route.
3. Place the ends of the two tubes together so they are properly aligned.
4. Center the correctly sized seaming strip over the junction between the tubes.
5. Wrap the connector around the adjoining tube ends.
6. Engage the industrial hook-and-loop surfaces and tighten the connector so the tubes remain closely aligned.
7. Fill the Guppy tubes according to the Guppy installation instructions.
8. As the tubes fill, inspect the junction and adjust the connector if necessary before the tubes become too heavy to reposition.
9. Confirm that the strip remains centered, secure and free from folds or loose areas.
10. Inspect the connection periodically during use for movement, gaps or seepage.

After use:

• Drain the Guppy tubes completely.
• Remove the connector.
• Rinse away mud and debris.
• Allow the connector to dry completely.
• Fold or roll it for storage.

The connector helps reduce gaps but does not guarantee a completely watertight joint. Include drainage or dewatering provisions in the overall flood-protection plan.

Are Guppy flood tubes included?

No. This product includes one seaming-strip connector only. Guppy Water-Filled Flood Tubes are sold separately.

Which connector size should I select?

Select the same diameter as both Guppy tubes being joined. Use a 6-inch connector with 6-inch tubes, a 12-inch connector with 12-inch tubes, and a 24-inch connector with 24-inch tubes.

Can I connect tubes of different diameters?

No. Both tubes and the connector should have the same diameter.

How many connectors do I need?

Use one connector at every junction. Two tubes require one connector, three tubes require two, and four tubes require three.

Can the connector join tubes of different lengths?

Yes. Tube length can vary, provided both tubes have the same diameter and are compatible standard Guppy tubes.

Does the connector make the joint completely watertight?

No. It helps align the tubes and reduce gaps and seepage, but temporary flood barriers and their connections should not be represented as completely watertight.

Should the connector be installed before filling the tubes?

Position and connect the tubes before they become fully weighted with water. Inspect and adjust the connection during filling, before the tubes become too heavy to reposition safely.

Can the connector be reused?

Yes. Remove it after draining the tubes, rinse away dirt or debris and allow it to dry completely before storage.

Is it compatible with Guppy MAX?

No. Guppy MAX uses an integrated seaming-flap and rope-connection system. These seaming strips are intended for standard 6-inch, 12-inch and 24-inch Guppy tubes.

Can one connector join more than two tubes?

No. Each connector covers one junction between two adjoining tubes.

Will it work with another brand of water-filled tube?

Compatibility is specified for standard Guppy tubes. Do not represent it as compatible with another manufacturer’s product unless fit and performance have been confirmed.
