Sea Sponge Dewatering & Drainage Pump

The Sea Sponge™ Dewatering and Drainage Pump is designed to remove rainwater, runoff and seepage from flat surfaces, including water that collects behind temporary flood barriers.

Unlike conventional pumps that leave a substantial layer of standing water, Sea Sponge can continue pumping down to approximately 0.04 inches. This makes it suitable for shallow puddles and low-level water removal on floors, flat roofs, basements, crawl spaces and construction sites.

The pump delivers up to 45 gallons per minute under suitable conditions and has a maximum head of 39 feet. Actual flow varies with the length and routing of the discharge hose, vertical lift and site conditions.

A repositionable discharge port accommodates a standard ¾-inch garden hose and can be oriented horizontally or vertically. An internal check valve helps maintain the pump’s prime and reduces backflow when the pump stops.

Sea Sponge can be placed behind a flood barrier to remove rainfall, seepage or other water that accumulates on the protected side. An optional Surface Level Switch can automatically activate the pump when water is detected and shut it off as the water level falls.

An Automatic Surface Level Switch is available separately to turn the Sea Sponge pump on when water is detected and off as the water level falls. Select the pump or switch accessory from the product options.
