Serpent™ Inflatable Flood Control Tube

The Serpent™ Inflatable Flood Control Tube is a reusable, air-filled barrier designed for rapid perimeter protection and large-scale water diversion. It provides a practical option for facilities, municipalities and property owners that need substantial temporary flood protection without filling the barrier with thousands of gallons of water.

Each Serpent tube has an inflated diameter of approximately 40 inches and is designed to protect against water levels up to approximately three feet. The system is available in 15-foot and 30-foot sections, and multiple units can be connected to create longer barrier runs.

An extended skirt is positioned on the water-facing side of the tube. As floodwater moves over the skirt, the weight of the water helps hold the barrier in place. Ropes and stakes can provide additional stability where site conditions permit.

Serpent is inflated with the included electric air pump. A 15-foot tube generally inflates in approximately 8–10 minutes, while a 30-foot tube typically requires approximately 12–18 minutes. Because the system relies on air instead of fill water, it can be especially useful where a large or reliable water source is unavailable.

After the flood threat has passed, Serpent can be cleaned, completely dried, deflated, rolled and stored for future deployment.
