Sting Ray Self-Deploying Water Dam

The Stingray™ Self-Rising Water Dam is a reusable flood barrier designed to rise automatically as oncoming water enters its internal pocket chambers. It does not require inflation or pre-filling with water, making it a practical solution when rapid deployment and long runs of flood protection are required.

Before flooding begins, the flexible barrier is unfolded across the desired path and its front opening is propped up to receive water. As floodwater flows into the chambers, water pressure opens the barrier into a V-shape and provides the ballast needed to hold it in position.

A weighted front strip, reinforced internal partitions, embedded flotation section and non-slip underside work together to improve stability. The flexible PVC construction allows Stingray to conform to different surfaces and changes in terrain.

Individual sections connect using industrial-strength hook-and-loop closures, allowing multiple units to form longer flood walls or protective perimeters. Optional corner units can be used to create turns around buildings, infrastructure and other protected areas.

Stingray is available in 20", 30" and 48" protection heights. After the water recedes, the barrier collapses and can be cleaned, dried, rolled and stored for future use.
