This blue WaterBrick stackable water container and food storage container can hold 3.5 gallons of liquids or up to 27 pounds of dry foods. Made of rugged, high density polyethylene (HDPE) with an easy grip comfort handle.
These unique stackable water storage containers, unlike any other, can also hold food and other life essentials while adding value by cross stacking up to 4 feet for maximum efficient storage. Wide diameter lid opening with notched easy grip lid allows for an average adult to pull stored contents out of the container by hand. Stores water, food or anything you want to keep dry or store efficiently while eliminating most food odors.
The container, lid and gasket are all BPA free and FDA compliant materials in order to store water and food. The container is made out of HDPE (High Density Polyethylene resin). The lid is made out of High Density Polypropylene. The gasket is made out of Dynaflex TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer). Not for storing fuels or oils.
The plastic of these 3.5 gallon water jugs is FDA approved as a food grade material. They are designed for long term water storage, but water stored after 90 days, regardless of container, must be treated. It is recommended they are cross stacked no higher than 4 feet high. They are designed not to leak. It is recommended to make sure the gasket is properly seated in the lid, that the lid is properly tightened down, and that there are no issues when sealing. If they are stack 2 per row, the base is 18 inches by 18 inches. Each row height is 6 inches high so 5 rows to make 10 containers would be 2.5 feet high.

How to Store Water
Preparing Containers:
Before filling with water, thoroughly clean the water storage brick containers with dishwashing soap and water and rinse completely so there is no residual soap. Sanitize the containers by adding a quarter cup of bleach with one cup of water. Mix the sanitizing solution in the container so that it touches all surfaces. After sanitizing the bottle, thoroughly rinse out the sanitizing solution with clean water.
Filling Stackable Water Storage Containers:
- Fill the bottle to the top with regular tap water. (If your water utility company treats your tap water with chlorine, you do not need to add anything else to the water to keep it clean.)
If the water you are using comes from a well or water source that is
not treated with chlorine, add two drops of non-scented liquid household chlorine bleach to each gallon of water.
- Tightly close the container using the original cap. Be careful not to contaminate the cap by touching the inside of it with your fingers. Write the date on the outside of the container so that you know when you filled it. Store in a cool, dark place.
- Replace the water every six months if not using commercially bottled water or a water preserver.
