Details
The Weather Radio NOAA, AM/FM, Solar, Hand Crank, LED Flashlight is a versatile emergency preparedness device designed to help you stay informed and connected during power outages, severe weather, natural disasters, camping trips, and other situations where dependable access to information and light is important.
The radio receives AM, FM, and 7 NOAA Weather Band channels, helping you monitor weather information, emergency broadcasts, and news when traditional power sources may not be available. Its multiple power options—including a rechargeable internal battery, solar power, USB charging, and a hand-crank dynamo—provide convenient ways to keep the unit operating when access to electricity is limited.
Multiple Ways to Power the Radio
The built-in hand-crank dynamo provides a manual charging option when conventional power is unavailable.
Initial activation or after extended storage:
- Lift the hand crank and turn it clockwise or counterclockwise for 3–5 minutes to activate the internal battery for initial use.
- The hand crank can also be used this way when the unit has been idle for more than 60 days.
- The red POWER INDICATOR illuminates while the unit is being cranked.
For subsequent charging:
- Turn the hand crank for approximately 1 minute at a crank speed of 130 RPM or greater.
- One minute of cranking can produce approximately:
- 15–20 minutes of continuous light using the three LEDs
- 15–20 minutes of continuous radio use at medium volume
- 3–5 minutes of talk time
Actual operating time may vary depending on cranking speed, battery condition, volume, lighting mode, and other operating conditions.
Built-In LED Flashlight
The integrated LED lighting provides illumination during power outages, nighttime emergencies, camping, hiking, and other low-light situations. The hand-crank charging system provides an additional way to generate power for lighting when batteries or electrical outlets are unavailable.
Emergency-Ready Design
A telescopic antenna helps with radio reception, while the built-in speaker makes broadcasts easy to hear. An SOS alarm provides an additional emergency signaling feature, making this compact radio a useful addition to emergency kits and outdoor gear.
Depending on the model configuration, USB functionality may also allow the unit to serve as a power source for small electronic devices. Refer to the specific unit's instructions for charging capabilities and limitations.
