Supporting the Patient-Management Workflow
Managing a multi-casualty incident requires more than individual medical supplies. Response teams must be able to identify and prioritize patients, establish visible treatment areas, document patient movement, coordinate evacuation or transport, and maintain accountability throughout the incident.
MCI Response Systems
Complete mass-casualty response systems combine equipment for several stages of incident operations into organized, deployable configurations. Available systems may include triage materials, responder identification, documentation, treatment-area equipment, transport tools, and carrying systems. Review each product’s contents to confirm that it supports your organization’s established procedures.
Triage and Patient Tracking
Triage tags, colored ribbons, dispensers, wristbands, and documentation systems help responders identify patients and maintain information as they move between triage, treatment, transport, and receiving locations.
Organizations should select a tagging and tracking method that is consistent with their training, mutual-aid partners, medical direction, and emergency-response plans.
Treatment Area Setup and Identification
Color-coded tarps, flags, flagging tape, shelters, and identification equipment help establish visible treatment areas and response zones. Options are available for indoor facilities, outdoor incidents, temporary treatment locations, and planned exercises.
Evacuation, Reunification and Accountability
Evacuation and accountability products include facility evacuation tags, patient-tracking packages, student reunification systems, flag kits, and responder-accountability tools. These systems support organized movement and documentation during evacuations, reunification operations, and extended incidents.
Program Planning and Procurement Support
Before ordering, consider the number of facilities or response locations, expected patient volume, available responders, existing procedures, training requirements, storage, and replenishment needs.
More Prepared can support custom configurations, standardized multi-site programs, volume pricing, purchase orders, tax-exempt ordering, and contract purchasing for qualifying organizations.
